Week 12 08/12/08

Tuesday and friday

I have created the desk, and dj decks shown above in 3ds max. I had to have a look at the way that dj decks look like and the way that all the position of the black decks was. The presentation was on tuesday and sadly i was rushed into hospital on the monday so i missed the presesntation and also the rendering of the work. However i have really enjjoyed working within the group and using different asspects of 3D studio max during this virtual enviroments module.

Week 11 01/12/08

Tuesday and Friday


Last week i became ill so i could not come in on the friday for the start of the animation, however the group have advised me that they did not start any animation last friday they decided to create and work on the characters. Today i emailed paul with all my work so that he has now got a copy of the work and can put it into the room. As i created the props and the posters etc. However the team has kept me uptodate with what has been happening while i have not been there. I will be attending the next time we meet up, so that i can catch up with what needs to be done next. I will close off there for now but i will be back soon to give any more info and statstics.

Week 10 24/11/08

Tuesday and Friday

The team minutes on the blog for this week is that we have decided to put most of the objects and probs into the room by moving them off each others usb stick onto one usb stick then copying that copy so that each group member has a copy of the group work. And next week my goals are to work on and create some new things which will be tv, sofa's, bins, posters and also a football table. So today i have been creating the posters, bin and the sofa, i hope to create the tv and tablefootball to be created. All the sound and eveything has been cut and we have been talking about the voice over.

Above is the roles and the storyboard that we are goin to use on the animation part. Also i have added the posters and sofas that i have created 2day i also have to put materials on the images too, i have decided to put turbo smooth on the sofa so that it looks more rounder rather than a box and hard.

Comments on work undertaken and shared in the group critique is that, the outcomes are that we need to work harder and work more togehter so we have decided to meet up again this friday to catch up on some work and we have decided to start the animation of the characters within the band and also the crowd too, we have decided to split the animation so me and amy are doing the crowd and also paul and matt are goin to be move the band characters.

Week 9 17/11/08

Tuesday & Friday

Team minutes on the blog is that we are all currently working on our indivudal work and next week we hope to put all our 3d images into the room. Above is what i have done this week by putting and trryin out new material on each object.

Comments on the work undertaken and shared in the group critque is that we need to put the objects from the indivual into the room, so that we can start to sort out the animation. Also we have decided to make the room look more 2d by putting black lines around the edge of the room and a few of the objects as well. We also tried looking at the colour and we put block colours on the room to try to get a different look. We then decided to look at the house from the 'Simpson' and we have decided to make the room, characters, objects and probs into a cartoon effect. So that the children at the YMCA can relate more to the cartoon effect rather than a normal animation.

Week 8 10/11/08

We have created a new story board, which is on pauls blogger for the group. We have all looked at each others work. Paul has started to make the lights more different and matt has created the body on the person in 3DsMax, but he has yet to add the head to the body. I have created the chairs and the steroes and i am just in the process of adding the material, amy has created the band and the stage and we also have the room which we will be workin on this as a group to put our own work into the single room.


My comments on the work undertaken and shared in the group critique is that jo sounded happy with the progress so far and we have all decided as a group to carry on with the modelling in 3dsMax putting the materials onto the objects and props. Next week i will be working on finishing putting my marterials on then and then showing what i have done to the rest of the group.

Week 7 03/11/08

Team- Tuesday

We hope to set up a new team blog identifying a plan of work for the team and its memebers.

I feel that our presentation went well and i found by listen to other groups and there presentations all seemed the same to ours. As a group we did not get much feedback from the rest of the class, but we have decided to all work on different ascpects and it is my aim to contentrate on the props and i am also goin to add material to my props. But i think we all worked well on this presentation and we all dressed very smart, and we was all present at the rite times of the presentation too. We made sure that we backed each other up and also we have set our our goals for next week and they are to make sure that all the chiars, tables, high tables, stools and also speakers are all created and ready to move into the room which paul has with the lights that he is creating to do. We have also drawn out a stroy board of the way the animation is goin to lay out and run. Also today we picked four songs that are goin to be represented in the animation. And also we hope to add a voice over at the end of the animation with a catchy pharses to the animation.

Individually- Friday

My reaction to the team set up is that we all have our own work and area that we need to work on, it is my job to create the props and put the materials on. I have created the basic shape and ojects of the chairs, tables and the speakers. In todays tutorial shown above i have created these objects in 3Ds Max and shown above i have got this far. My aim and target is to broaden my knowledge of 3Ds Max.

Week 6 27/10/08

Tuesday

In this session i worked on my 3ds max head and i watched some more tutorials, for the group work we have created the room and the lighting and it looks really good but next week we hope to get a lot more done, and to work on our presentation. In the presentation we will look at the SWOT analysis of your project so far. Strenghts: music Weaknesses, Opportunites, Threats.

Friday

On friday i handed in the 3d head to the hand in office on a cd of what i have creating doing my head.
If i had time to change anything would do differently next time if i could start the project again and have more time in creating the 3d head. And i would leave the same the ears as i reallt thought that i did the ears to my head very well. I have creating the head but i wish that i had more time to finish the modeling.
